We started 2022 with renewed hope and enthusiasm, but still with a degree of uncertainty, given the experiences of the recent past. We're greatly encouraged, however, by the continuing upturn in many of the businesses that had suffered the worst effects of the last two years. As a result new opportunities have emerged, which have enabled us to once again grow our business by establishing a rapidly growing client base to the extent that we're already on track to surpass our pre-covid levels of success. It's been an eventful few months, so here are just some of the reasons for our overt optimism!
Our Awards Are Stacking Up
Hot on the heels of our two National Industry Awards for the QSI Chauffeur Company of the Year and Environmental Awards comes another recognition, this time from a well known entrepreneur and ex Dragons Den judge, Theo Paphitis. Our MD, Laurence Beck and Marketing Director, Gemma Beck travelled down to Birmingham recently to receive this accolade from the man himself, in recognition of how he believes our company stands out from the crowd, showing passion for the service we provide and that we have a clear vision for the future direction of the business.
New Airport Office
With continuing expansion of the Parkers Executive Chauffeur business and our close connection to Samson Aviation to provide our VIP service for their private aircraft clients, we made the decision to get even closer to the action by opening a new Newcastle Airport office overlooking the main runway! We also feel that as both business and private clients return to air travel once again, it’s appropriate for us to demonstrate our commitment to providing a reliable, first class chauffeur service to and from this most important travel hub. Even for families and larger groups, travelling with a bit more luggage than usual, we can provide one of our 6/7 passenger Mercedes V Class or fully electric EQV vehicles. We monitor air traffic through Flight Radar, but now also have the benefit of direct visual contact which will assist us in providing our professional, reliable meet and greet service.
New Fleet Additions
We are continuing to add new vehicles to our fleet to cater for growing customer demands which means that in the last 6 months alone we’ve added six new vehicles, which cover all classes and vehicle types. These include a new flagship Range Rover Autobiography Hybrid, another Mercedes Benz S Class, two fully electric Mercedes EQV’s and two more Mercedes Benz E Class AMG models. Parkers now operate the largest, most comprehensive range of chauffeur car vehicles in the North of England. We also continue to focus on offering the most environmentally friendly travel solutions with both a carbon offset scheme and with the introduction of zero emission options. To further emphasise our drive towards a zero emission future, we are eagerly awaiting delivery of the hugely impressive fully electric Mercedes Benz EQS, with a range of up to 453 miles which we expect to be available from June.
Convoy Training
We’re often asked to look after VVIP’s when they’re visiting the North East and occasionally this has included Royalty, Presidents, Ambassadors, Diplomats, Captains of Industry and High Net Worth individuals. This frequently involves us providing a number of vehicles to travel in convoy and to work alongside Close Protection Specialists. This can also occasionally include a Police blue light escort. Under these circumstances, a whole additional set of skills are required. For this reason, we have an ongoing training regime to ensure our drivers are conversant with appropriate driving and safety techniques. We work together as a coordinated team, assessing potential risks, route planning and using specialist communication systems to ensure these journeys are executed with the utmost safety and efficiency. As a consequence our drivers are some of the best trained operatives in the industry.
